祝午郎与马莉亚毗临而居，祝开设午郎国术馆，而马则开设马家太极。祝有女英才，自幼习武，唯祝迷信铁板神数，将英才女扮男装，武馆弟子亦不知英才是女儿身。英才暗恋大师兄华山伯，经常借故示爱。马莉亚侄女梦梨自日本返港，将马家太极改成健康舞中心。祝的弟子为了追女，转学健康舞，梦梨遭飞仔调戏，英才路过相救，梦梨以为英才是男儿身，芳心暗许。但另一方面，华山伯却钟情梦梨，发展成三角关系，英才要恢复女儿身，离家出走，适逢鬼节，被男鬼上身，更闹出了不少笑话。。在一暴风雨晚上，服装业家周宏业驾车回家途中，发现一个不知名的妇人倒卧路旁，将她救回家中，才知是一名孕妇，且即将分娩，周妻唐静如手足无措，宏业外出觅医途中竟惨遭车祸，孕妇产下女婴婷婷後，留书离去，希望静如收养女婴……。Inspired by the true life stories of a group of characters battling for survival in the brutal East End of London in the 1880s.
