民国初年，国会议员卢子陵在家遇害，一条钻石项链被盗。监察厅聘用的多名侦探先后失踪。段厅长不得已从死牢保出侦探“铁蜘蛛”，又请来“神猫”冷云飞协助。冷云飞在“铁蜘蛛”的暗中指示下行动，并结识了袁芳，而袁芳姑父文中汉其实使龙虎堂堂主。原来，被盗的钻石上刻有反袁革命军军校级以上军官的名单，急于得到名单的袁世凯派人杀了文中汉，但钻石最后为“铁蜘蛛”也就是袁芳所得。袁芳假死逃脱，冷云飞南下云南与之相会。。故事主要讲述了主人公周牧云无意卷入一场诡异的爆炸案后竟发现真凶是自己的多年前的爱人，为了替爱人洗冤他开始缉拿真凶却意外踏入了一个黑暗的魔域世界，随着案情的发展，一个恐怖的惊天阴谋被逐渐的揭开！。A escaped prisoner kills the wife and son of a former sheriff, Matt Austin, who sent him to jail long ago. Austin rides in pursuit and locates his quarry in a small town saloon. During the ensuing gunfight, an innocent bystander is shot and the murderer escapes.
