"A Walk to Beautiful" tells the story of five women in Ethiopia suffering from devastating childbirth injuries. Rejected by their husbands and ostracized by their communities, these women are left to spend the rest of their lives in loneliness and shame. We follow each of these women on their journey to a special hospital in Addis Ababa where they find solace for the first time...。节子（田中绢代 饰）和满里子（高峰秀子 饰）是情同手足的姐妹，和父亲过着相依为命的生活，虽然个性迥然不同，但姐妹两人之间的感情一直十分要好。一晃眼数十年过去，节子和满里子都出落成为了亭亭玉立的大家闺秀，之后，节子嫁给了名为三村的男子，然而经济的萧条令三村失去了工作，整日在家无所事事，只能借酒消愁。整个家庭的重担落在了节子的肩上。
某日，节子的初恋情人从国外学成归来，并和节气取得了联系。婚姻生活的枯燥和不满令节子有些心猿意马。得知了节子的心思，向来奔放新潮的满里子鼓励姐姐离开三村，寻找属于自己的幸福，可就在节子下定决心之际，却传来了三村的死讯。。改编自Daphne du Maurier的小说Jamaica Inn Set in 1820 against the backdrop of the windswept Cornish moors, the story follows Mary’s journey when she is forced to live with an aunt at the eponymous inn after the death of her mother and discovers it to be the hub of a smuggling ring.。
