改编自日本江户时代中期元禄年间，赤穗藩家臣47人为主君报仇的真实事件。。宋朝宋仁宗即位年间，福建省晋江县泉州有条大江，两岸相对有二里的距离，所以泉州的居民每天都以渡船为交通工具。可是大江的水势激流险恶无比，为此年中翻船丧身大江的人数是不计其数，后来据传说是江中有一龟一蛇二妖在作弄，仁宗天子为百姓安宁派了蔡状元襄往泉州督造大桥，他乃是个孝子，他母曾经发过誓若其子考中三元一定要其子洛阳造桥。蔡襄为国为孝经过五年多造桥的工程一无成就反而损钱、损民为此担忧洛阳江这么险恶。蔡襄自想如果天助造此桥比较简单……。In the Alpine village of Tolzbad in the 1800s, the townsfolk talk quietly and restrain their movements lest they incur avalanches.
