《游戏•人生》纪录片从策划到播出，历经两年时间。期间走访了包括北京、上海、广州等12所大中城市，拜访十余家大中型游戏厂商，选择了百余位与网游相关的人物，包括游戏玩家、游戏制作人员以及游戏公司的创造者，并对这些素材进行了精心筛选。
