A LOVE ODYSSEY is an intense and life-affirming story of the difficult love between two people challenged by ambitions of wanting to save mankind from destruction by reaching the deepest place on earth, at the bottom of the ocean.。「ラブ★コン」などで知られる中原が2019年からココハナで連載した原作は、アパートの隣合う部屋で暮らす大人になった幼なじみの男女を描いたラブコメディ。映画では井上が幼なじみの思いに気付かない純粋で鈍感な主人公・青山春（ハル）、久間田が20年もハルに思いを寄せながら進展しない関係に業を煮やすヒロインの加賀屋楓を演じた。。
