Ok, folks, this is my last Ishii upload. Totsugeki! Hakata gurentai is his first feature and last 8mm film. Haven't watched it yet myself, but from the looks of it, this is very much reminescent of eighties and nineties v-cinema, sort of like early Miike (only made in 1978). There is considerably more dialogue than in his earlier films, but it doesn't seem too complicated plotw...。32岁的夏洛特(Claes Bang饰)刚与相处多年的男友分手，搬到了一个小城安家落户，开了一家美容沙龙。由于心底深处难以名状的落寞，夏洛特一直不与人交流，常常将不怀好意的年轻男子带回家，极尽捉弄之能事。一天，夏洛特结识了住在楼下的女人——腼腆的维罗妮卡(Joan Bentsen)。然后，维罗尼卡却有着一个不为人知的秘密。。宁静古镇，壮丁皆赴外谋生，只余老弱妇孺相守。少女失踪案骤起，负责查访的丁丁苦于无线索。此时，戏剧学院学生梦雪携画具来镇写生，途中邂逅漂泊粤剧伶人文臣，两人因同好粤曲而一见如故，结为知己。戏腔未起，魅影已潜，她们即将踏入的，不只是水墨般的街巷，更有一场牵扯旧事与隐秘的迷局……。
