本片为邵氏继《马永贞》后，再次以上海滩黑帮争霸仇杀为题材的电影。陈观泰饰的仇连环当年在上海滩，以拳头打出天下，乃好勇斗狠的典型人物，血腥事件轰动社会；仇为了井莉饰的交际花沉菊芳，不惜豁出性命，与着名帮会首脑之子及同谋展开连场明争暗斗；仇亦成为帮会争夺地盘的嫁祸目标……。Celestine, the chambermaid, has a new job in the country, at the Lanlaires.
