《度假村兼职》的故事最初在2009年被投稿到日本恐怖故事投稿网“ホラー テラー”，随后被重新发布到“2ch”后，因其极度恐怖和优秀的展开而迅速成为话题。“禁忌的仪式”、“非人类的存在”、“人类的业”等所有恐怖要素都被浓缩在其中，作为网络都市传说的集大成至今仍被传颂。在原故事创作者、神秘投稿者“日向麦”的协助下，由曾执导大热电影《如月车站》的导演永江二朗以及他的团队重新集结，将其制作成充满恐怖与惊奇的电影。 电影的舞台设定在一座小岛上的海边旅馆。桜与她的青梅竹马聪、希美一起享受着充满回忆的度假村打工生活，但是有一天，看到了半夜往2楼送饭的老板娘的身影，事态发生了急剧变化。“这份工作，有点不对劲……”，意识到这一点的桜等人，迎来了出乎意料的展开。。Following her mother’s death, manga artist Soriya travels to her ancestral home in Phnom Penh, with hopes of reconnecting with her distant family and using the visit as inspiration for her work.
